Centauri 10G Overview and Performance Validation

The Centauri 10G is a wireless optical communication device developed by Transcelestial, designed to deliver 10 Gbps at Layer 1 point-to-point connectivity up to 3km using Lasercomms technology.

To validate the performance of Centauri 10G, we utilize the RFC 2544 benchmarking methodology, an industry-standard suite of tests designed to evaluate the performance of network devices, particularly at the physical layer (Layer 1) of the OSI model.

Sample Throughput Test Configuration

The Sample Throughput Test below, as outlined in the RFC 2544 report, Is Configured at a Line Rate (L1) of 10,000 Mbps. Frame sizes range from 64 bytes to 9600 bytes (Jumbo Frames) to assess performance across different traffic profiles.
