CENTAURI devices may be powered by Power Over Ethernet (POE) or by 48V DC.
The device power rating is: 48V DC / 56V PoE DC 60W 2.0A
Power consumption is as follows when using POE 802.3at/802.3bt
- Window heater off: 20W POE 802.3at and 0.42A
- Window heater on: 32W POE 802.3bt 0.67A
We strongly recommend using a higher-powered POE supply (i.e. 802.3bt) when deploying links in environmental conditions where the window heater may be useful.
CENTAURI may also be powered by an external 48V DC connection. Transcelestial supplies a terminal block for connecting DC power in the accessories pack for each device. We suggest using a 2.0A breaker in this situation.
