How does vibration impact CENTAURI's performance?

Modified on Tue, 02 Aug 2022 at 12:34 PM

Centauri automatically compensates for vibrations up to a certain threshold, while operating seamlessly. This is a major performance feature and one area where we have made significant improvements over past generations of wireless laser communications or free space optics devices.

Still, extreme vibrations will cause CENTAURI performance to degrade, and sometimes links will drop. We work continuously to improve the way CENTAURI responds to different vibrations.

Other factors also play a role in performance, such as the deployment environment and the type of pole onto which CENTAURI is installed.

We can test to ensure that your installation environment is suitable with our Site Survey Tool (SST), to help maximise the success of your CENTAURI deployment. Please contact us for more information.
