If there is an open line of sight then CENTAURI's performance will not be affected when deployed over water.
Radio wave transmissions typically suffer from attenuation over water due to their Fresnel Zones. This attenuation cannot be fully compensated for by boosting the strength of those signals (either practically, or due to regulations), especially over longer distances.
Because CENTAURI uses a high-speed wireless optical link and a very narrow beam to send and receive data, it will outperform most RF and mmWave solutions when deployed over bodies of water.
